Bouquet Garni Blend

This classic French blend of parsley, savory, bay, rosemary and thyme can be used in the traditional cheese cloth bag or sprinkled directly into soups, stews and a variety of meat and vegetables dishes. Some bouquet garni recipes call for including basil, chervil or tarragon, which can easily be added to this aromatic blend. Typically the "bouquet" is cooked along with the other ingredients, then removed before serving. It's considered a key component to classic French cooking, and adds a fresh elegance to many recipes.
